Pepperdine: Apple Watch for ranking survey

Want to win an Apple Watch? Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management is offering alums the chance to win a $269 Apple Watch to get enough alumni answers for the next Forbes ranking. While it’s common for schools to send emails encouraging their alums to complete ranking surveys sent by Forbes, Bloomberg Businessweek or the Financial Times, it’s unusual that a school would offer an incentive to gain compliance, writes Poets&Quants.

To participate in one of the rankings a certain percentage or number of alumni have to fill out a survey. Forbes requests that at least 15% of the school’s full-time MBA alumni fill out the survey. Financial Times needs at least 20% of alumni reply to the survey, with at least 20 fully completed responses. Bloomberg Businessweek requires a minimum of at least 30 students to be included in its ranking. Continue reading
