Peter Lorange was 15 years President at IMD in Lausanne, which became one of the most successful and renowned business schools of the world during his tenure. Prior to that, he served as President of BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo, Norway. In January 2010 the Norwegian founded the Lorange Institute of Business Zurich, where he was Chairman and President. In 2015 he sold the institute to CEIBS Business School in Shanghai and in 2017 he founded the Lorange Network to provide business knowledge digitally and a networked community for company owners, entrepreneurial families and larger private investors.
Dr. Dr. h.c. (mult.) Peter Lorange studied at the Norwegian School of Economics and at Yale, before he received his Ph.D. at Harvard. He has an honorary doctorate from the PECS University, Moscow State University, the Copenhagen Business School, the Estonian Business School and the Lund University. Lorange taught at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and at the MIT Sloan School of Management and is the author of 18 books. He is an expert in the field of global strategic management, strategic planning and entrepreneurship for growth. Until 2008, he was owner of the shipping company S.Ugelstad. Today he is on the board of several companies.
