New European MBA guidelines

After more than two years of extensive debate the EQUAL Board (European Quality Link) – a network of accreditation organizations – has ratified new MBA guidelines. The main tenets of the new guidelines include an explicit definition of the MBA as a post-experience general management program (thus distancing it from pre-experience qualifications), a renewed focus on learning outcomes and an articulation of the importance of synchronous interaction between faculty and the cohort. The revisions were led by EQUAL representatives from AMBA (Association of MBAs) and EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development). You can find the guidelines here.
